Electronic Beats Festival Bratislava 2014: Series announced!

We’ve already given you a taster with regard to what’s to come in EB’s Spring Festival season, and we’re pleased to indulge your appetite for great music with each new announcement. So start salivating, because here’s what we’re bringing to Slovakia!

Headlining the evening is not one other than Four Tet, whose 7th album Beautiful Rewind charted many the year’s best list in 2013. The UK musician’s recent collaboration with Jamie XX, a beautifully angelic and compelling house cut, has been making much more waves and his psychedelia-tinged explorations to the roots of UK bass plus dance music have really already been on another level lately. Be prepared to be moved on the dancefloor, in both body and mind.

Caribou‘s Serta Snaith will be joining us too under his musical alias Daphni, along with the modular synth that produced his album Jiaolong so ear-grabbing. We’re always excited whenever we see him play; it’s like watching a conductor work strange magic, and there’s always an element of surprise. “If tomorrow I gave up Caribou and started making death steel, I don’t think anybody would state, ‘Dan Snaith is going against their roots! ’”, he told us in our EB Magazine interview. “I definitely don’t feel any dedication to anything. ” Here’s expecting he brings his bag of audio tricks along!

Sweden is well-known for adoring clean, minimal looks; it’s no surprise that even their shoegaze artists prefer electronics over guitars. Stockholm duo I Break Horses took their work to a new area of hauntological pop with their new record Chiaroscuro , which should be the perfect swoon-worthy opening note for the night. Between bands, Slovakian musician plus Gergaz label owner Jimmy Pe is going to be spinning all night to keep your ear vibrating.

Tickets can be found to purchase through our EB Radio and Video mobile apps or via NTRY Ticketing. Slovakian Telekom customers can obtain special presale tickets via Telekom Benefit for the particular reduced price of 10 euros (a four euro discount off of the regular presale price and eight pounds off of the price at the door! ), as well as tickets to our Prague festival. ~
