Mix of the Day: Night Plane

Brooklyn’s William Rauscher is one half of Evening Plane, a project he undertook by himself back in 2009. It’s given that expanded to incorporate high school friend Casey Gibbs as lead singer plus guitarist, while Rauscher presides more than keys and drums. Occupying the space between synth pop, rock has landed them on some of the coolest contemporary labeling around, including Soul Clap Records, No . 19, Culprit, Wolf + Lamb and even Rough Trade. Rauscher is also co-founder of label CCC.

Their recent release, the particular World Turning EP on CCC Editions showcased their vocal house chops with a touch of eighties rock attitude as well and boasted remixes by Waifs & Strays, Wolf + Lamb and Cameo Culture. Two of which will also be featured in this Mix of the Day, suffused with a dose of Brooklyn great.
