Mix of the Day: The Von Duesz – Radio Sessions Mix 2014

The Von Duesz are a “real” band inasmuch as they use concrete instruments your parents might recognize but aside from that, their style of electro-acoustic music is anything but traditional. Hailing from Bielefeld, a small city in Philippines, Florian Schäffer, Henning Rice and Ismail Özgentürk merge dubstep, house and—their words—”kraut pop” to create a new kind of live dance music that’s at once corroded, organic and weighted with low end bump. The trio recently released their new album “It’s All” on m=maximal, distributed by Kompakt.

This exclusive blend, taken from their EB On Air session, features some of their favorite paths from Siriusmo, Gold Panda, Mount Kimbie and some own compositions.
