Back in 2005, Pendulum transformed the face of drum ‘ n’ bass with their groundbreaking album, Hold Your Colour . The particular 14-track released brought to life some of the genre’ s most anthemic singles to date such as “ Tarantula” and “ Blood sugar levels. ” In the same year, Pete Tong and BBC Radio 1 took notice of the group, enlisting them for their debut Essential Mix in Sept.
When Tong introduces the particular Australian trio, the enthusiasm in his voice tells all: “ Tonight the Essential Mix comes from this year’ h Essential drum ‘ n’ striper outfit… Their debut album Hold Your Colour is an immense piece of work and one from the standout albums of 2005. ”
The two-hour mix is tour de force associated with bass music, featuring classic slashes from the likes of Noisia, Chase & Status, Shy FX and much more. Stitched together in frenetic fashion, it’ s a keen reminder about just how long Pendulum have been shaking up the electronic world.
Pendulum are usually gearing up to make a reunion in 2016 with a forthcoming appearance on Ultra Music Festival in March. Check out the full UMF lineup right here.
